Report on Our Annual Game with Nottingham Forest

This year on 11th December Elvis brought 6 lads from his squads to play in an Annual Event that brings together the two Clubs in the Festive Spirit of the season. The pitch being Sponsored meant that we collected between us £70 for the Wish upon a Star Children's Charity in Nottingham. This bonds the two Clubs and sets of players even closer and showcases the true meaning of Community Trust Walking Football. The only flaw on this occasion was the awful referee but we won't mention that, I deserve a medal for it in the face of adversity.

I have just found two very good Youtube Videos that explain both non contact walking football and how to walk to play walking football. I would hope our session can eventually comply with these rules and techniques. Our session is a rough version of walking football which allows us to find our natural levels of both tackling and jogging. All well and good for the more robust but even they can get injured, I am going to pass the link on to everyone on my data base so they can get a good idea of what we are hoping to achieve too with Notts County These links are worth watching and learning from, we do not expect to use the Covid rule of keeping 2 meters apart but a distance that does not allow for contact is realistic enough to prevent players colliding See what you think.

and one that demonstrates walking techniques with a team of ladies walking faster than we run. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KD7VQdkCntM
